An international healthcare service company faced ongoing needs in litigation and investigations throughout numerous jurisdictions across the US. They required a legal staffing provider with the capabilities and expertise to present a variety of solutions to their countless challenges in finding reliable contract attorneys at rates that were consistent across the marketplace. They also needed a resource with the experience and know-how to effectively interface among and handle issues related to the company’s numerous law firms, which ranged from AmLaw Top 100 to smaller, more local firms.

Atlanta. Initially, the client relied on the Hire Counsel management team to develop appropriate staffing in conjunction with their outside counsel to ensure that the client received cost-effective representation for its document review – leaner teams from all parties at the project outset, ramped up teams during the heat of the review. Hire Counsel then provided skilled project managers to work side by side with the client’s legal team assigned to the document review to ensure that the review met the highest standards of quality and efficiency. As the review process expanded, Hire Counsel provided turnkey space in a building adjacent to the client’s offices.
New York. For one particular document review, the client hired a major international law firm with limited experience in using contract attorneys for their projects. On behalf of our client, Hire Counsel served as an advisor to the law firm to ensure that the client received best in class discovery review teams, turnkey discovery centers, on budget cost controls, and on time project delivery.
Seattle. This project was a paper document review that was set up in a warehouse located outside of Seattle. Due to the unusual location, the client required temporary attorneys who were willing to work in a remote location and who were able to perform a traditional paper document review. In less than 24 hours, Hire Counsel assembled a group of highly qualified candidates who traveled to the warehouse and completed the document review ahead of schedule.
Online and At-Home. The client required a large number of temporary contract attorneys with both a specific scientific background and other highly specialized skill sets. Analyzing our national database of over 50,000 legal professionals, we quickly determined that no one location across the country had a sufficient quantity of attorneys in its pool to merit selection as an on-the-ground discovery center. Hire Counsel’s solution was to provide 40 document reviewers in the selected field of expertise who could work online from home in various locations across the country, providing laptop computers as needed in any reviewer location. Our effective project management team ensured that the project was completed ahead of schedule and well below the projected cost without compromising quality.
