Job Summary
Hire Counsel is seeking paralegal candidates with a minimum of 3 years research experience with a financial services company or a law firm to work for our client, a national bank. Qualified candidates will work under the supervision of a licensed attorney and have experience resolving routine legal issues. Candidates must be familiar with a variety of legal concepts, practices, and procedures.
This position will provide legal support for attorneys in the legal department. Under supervision of attorneys, the paralegal will research and analyze law sources such as: 1) statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes 2) prepare legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, contracts, etc. Paralegal will need to be able to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and perform a variety of tasks.
Required Experience
- MINIMUM of 3 years research experience
- Excel skills
- Compliance experience helpful, but not required
- Excellent attention to detail and proactive
- Experience researching with international regulators a plus, but not required
- Paralegal Certificate and 3-6 years or more experience in legal field
Project Details
- Start Date: 8.6.2012
- Duration: 4-5 Months
- Pay Rate: Market Rate
- Schedule: M-F, 8:30-5:00. Overtime as needed.
